The breathing air for an air fed mask or hood is supplied via a compressor. As a confined environment, it is important to maintain the quality of air that is supplied through Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE). COSHH legislation means that this equipment should be tested regularly and the time between testing should not exceed three months. This is to ensure that the air quality is not polluted.
Cornish Compressors can carry out on site spray booth or other air fed use air quality tests throughout Cornwall and Devon. This testing can be carried out alongside scheduled maintenance or servicing, or as a standalone service as required. Testing includes measuring the levels of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, water vapour, oil mist dewpoint and oxygen content to BS . EN12021-2014
